Story of bronze
Naja is the Serpent, the symbol of life and death. Its venom can kill as well as heal. For this monk, carrying Naja with oneself like a talisman is a sign of wisdom and spirituality.
“As I do with ceramics, I used my potter’s wheel to shape the Naja. Using a small wooden instrument, I traced the snake coiling around my figure.
Proceeding this way enabled me to ensure the harmony between the sitting monk and the snake on his head.”
